Creative Christmas: prezzie (christmas eve)
This is the final instalment on the count down till christmas, i will be looking at wrapping christmas prezzies for cheap and to make them look alot more creative than they usualy look today
1/ Brown paper (from yesterday making the crackers £3) 2/ Sellotape 3/ Your gift 4/ Scissors 5/ Ribbon (£2 4m craft shop) 6/ The gift tags you made

cut and fold the paper to size

fold in at the top and fold the sides in, fold the last flap up and stick. (repeat on the other side)
now to the bow, pas it over the top and turn the box over
cross the bow over on the bottom and turn the box back over

tie on top and make a bow and then …..
add your tag and you have a classy prezzie =]
Creative Christmas: christmas crackers (2day till christmas)
Christmas crackers were a invention by a victorian sweet maker to help sell them around christmas time and now is classed as a tradition. In this post i will be showing you how simple and easy it is to make your own!
1/ Brown paper- £3 for 12m WHSmith (will do for all your crackers and your wrapping paper for your prezzies) 2/ Crate paper- £1 (stationary shop) 3/ 2 loo roles- find around the house 4/ Prit stick 5/ Cracker snap- 95p for 6 (easy to find on the internet) 6/ Parcel bow twine- 50p
what you will need to do is cut one of the loo roles in half and place one on either side of the of the other loo role, making sure there is about 2cm between them. Cut up one side of the roles about 15cm long.
Place the brown paper on top of the crate paper and make sure there is an extra 1cm each is so there is some overlap.
Glue the crate paper to the brown paper.
put glue on the the middle role only! and stick down

role up and insert cracker snap

cut a length of ribbon and tie round one end int the gab between the loo roles
Insert your surprise in the open end, im using chocolate coins
Your amazing sophisticated christmas cracker! if you like you can put an image on them or decorate in any way you like
The more you make the cheaper is it!
Creative Christmas: Tag & Card (3day till christmas)
seen as it is christmas and most people are strapped for cash i though this would be a nice little way to help them out but also personalise christmas and get in the festive mood. The next 3 posts in a count down to christmas will give you a few creative ideas on how to to this, today will be Cards and gift tags, tomorrow will be making your own christmas crackers and on christmas eve i will be showing you haw to wrap up them prezzies not only cheap but also make them look amazing! The prices and places where i got the items will be placed underneath the image.
Cards & Tags
Firstly we will start with the tags, you will need:
1/Potato- Find in your house 2/Paint- £2 from craft shop 3/Luggage tags- 50p (for 10) post office 4/Letter stamp- £20 from WHSmith
the stamp seems expensive but it is a good investment, makes all the letters the same on each tag, but alternatively you could just hand wright them.
figure out what your going to write “Happy Christmas” in my case
Stamp text along the top edge,
After this look for an image to put on your tags, in my case i have chosen a robin, print out the silhouet, cut it out and place on your potato to cut round (be careful the paper gets very flimsy when it is wet on your potato).
You cut out your shape and then load it up with paint, for mine im using 2 stamps, one for the bird and one for its red breast.
So there we have it a home made festive gift tag which inexpensive to make and the more you make the cheaper it is! All the material as well will be use in some way to make all the other items as well.
Card
This is pretty much the same process as before, you will need:
1/Potato- find in your house 2/Paint- (use from before, £2 craft shop) 3/Pack of blank cards and envelopes- £1.50 for 10 craft shop 4/Letter stamp- (this is why it is awesome to have one)
Again, pick out wat you want to put “Happy Christmas”
I have chosen a christmas tree for this design, cut a silhouet out and stick to the potato, cut round and load up with paint
again im using more than one stamp to add more colours, here with a star and bauble on the tree.
using the stamp again i put a small message inside “have a good christmas” then you can write what ever you like under

and here is the final product, simple but personalised and it certainly got me in to the christmas spirit!
Total Unit Cost: for both, 10 cards and 10 tags
£4 (score!)
to make 10 more of each it will cost you £2 even better!
I like good design (yanko design)
Stumbled across this one day and there is some really good design on it =], and it is hard to come by nowadays!
These are a favourite of mine but would set you back $495.00, oh well i can dream lol.
There is some cool stuff on it though which aint as expensive have a look
